This device was a design study for a korean lottery company. It includes simle functionality of scan, print and exchange a lottery ticket. Realtime communication capabilities to the lottery central server was provided by an ADSL modem.

The real isue at this project has been the extremly short timeframe. It took us about 4 weeks from the first customer inquery to shipment of a working prototype !

The userinterface has been done by SE++. We've shiped two language versions - korean and english. User input is done by touching the screen and also by use of the barcode reader.

The major isue for this unit has been the price. So we had to go with a monochrom touchpanel to get the unit price under $150 at a production quantity of 1000.
